1. Scope of Application
YD-22 Hydraulic rail tamping machine is a new generation product developed by our factory, which is based on the experience of domestic and foreign customers in the use of tamping machines and also adopts new materials and technologies. Its basic structure and principle still retain the advantages of the traditional tamping machine, that is, double guide column frame, single cylinder lifting mode. At the same time, by increasing the depth of the pickaxe and increasing the travel limit device of the guide column, it can be used in tamping operation on the type Ⅱ and type Ⅲ concrete sleeper lines in China. It can also be used for tamping on ballasted lines on various kinds of concrete sleepers and steel sleeper lines abroad. The machine is set for the standard gauge of 1435 mm and one side off track. Its main technical performance is better than the traditional one. It’s suitable to tamp on the track with various rail types and concrete sleepers, it’s also suitable to tamp the ballast on the newly-relaying track bed. This machine has the features of high quality performance, reasonable structure, safe and reliable operating capability and high working efficiency, which can satisfy the requirement of ballast tamping operation.

3. Working Principle and Basic Structure
Working Principle:
The tamping machine is driven by diesel engine, oil pump and vibration shaft are driven by triangle belt. With the vibration shaft rotating at high speed to drive the eccentric body, because of the centrifugal force, the exciting force is produced, and the high-pressure oil output from the oil pump enters the lifting cylinder through the reversing valve and compacts the oil cylinder, thus driving the various executive parts, realizing the clamping and dropping of the rail, Tamping operation functions such as clamping and consolidation.
