It is generally set on small radius curves. The dry friction between the wheel flange and the inner side of the rail changes into oil lubricated friction, which greatly reduces the friction coefficient, reduces the friction and radial shear force of "gnawing the rail" when the train turns, reduces the abrasion of the wheel and rail, significantly reduces the driving noise, reduces the train vibration and improves the passenger comfort.

Precautions for daily inspection
◆ thickness: if the thickness is too large, the grease will be transmitted to the rail tread by the wheel. In serious cases, it will lead to wheel slip or overspeed, endangering driving safety; If it is too small, it cannot give full play to the role of wear reduction. Therefore, the shift leader shall inspect the oil output of the oiler every day

◆ comprehensively check the oiler every month. Focus on checking the oil quantity of oiler and the working state of relay, oil pump, oiling plate and other parts, test their oil output, and check the oil quantity and the working state of relay and oiling plate. If there is any abnormality, repair and replace it immediately, and add grease to the oiler with low oil volume.
