Alstom Signed A Two-year Contract With The Pomeranian Metropolitan Railway

Alstom will provide a comprehensive service for the maintenance, current repairs and periodic inspections of railway traffic control devices manufactured by the Alstom ZWUS plant. This is the fourth consecutive maintenance contract and thus the continuation of the positive cooperation between the two organizations that has been ongoing since 2016, Railway Supply reports citing Nakolei.

The contract was signed for a period of two years, from May 1, 2023 to April 30, 2025. The maintenance covers conventional rail traffic control devices and Level 2 ERTMS/ETCS devices. In total, the contract covers the maintenance of 477 rail traffic control devices located on railway lines No. 248 and No. 253. The total length of the line exceeds 18 km, including 9 passenger stations.

The Alstom plant in Katowice is responsible for design, product development, testing and ultimately the production and supply of motion control systems and devices. The company introduced in Poland the first ERTMS/ETCS level 2 rail traffic management system for most rail lines in Poland.
