Since the China Laos Railway was put into operation in December 2021
* The "Fuxing" and "Lancang" high-speed trains, jointly developed by CRRC Dalian, operate safely and smoothly between Kunming and Mohan, as well as between Vientiane and Boting, achieving the goal of "zero failure" and being favored by the people along the line. As of April 9, the China Laos Railway had sent 13.93 million passengers and 18.38 million tons of goods, including 3.59 million tons of cross-border goods, playing a positive role in building a golden corridor between China and South Asia and Southeast Asia, and a community of common destiny between China and Laos.
* The international passenger train of the China Laos Railway runs from morning to night, with one two-way train each day. It stops at 8 stations, including Kunming South, Puer, Xishuangbanna, Mohan, Boten, Luang Prabang, Vang Vieng and Vientiane. The travel time of the whole journey, including the customs clearance time at the railway port, is 10 hours and 30 minutes. Kunming Vientiane can be reached on the same day. The international passenger train of the China Laos Railway adopts the customs clearance mode of "two places and two inspections". It takes about 1.5 hours for passengers to leave and enter the country at one time, and about 3 hours for passengers to leave and enter the country.
The international passenger trains of the China Laos Railway run using the power centralized "Fuxing" and "Lancang" multiple units, with a maximum running speed of 160 kilometers per hour. Nine trains are formed, including one power car, one first class car and one dining car, six second class cars, and a total seating capacity of 720 people. The standard power sockets of China and Laos are set under each group of seats. The passenger information display, broadcast, and service signs are in Chinese, Laos, and English. At the initial stage of the operation of the international passenger train of the China Laos Railway, the railway departments of the two countries will flexibly set up cross-border and non cross-border carriages of EMUs according to the cross-border passenger flow, and sell tickets according to the corresponding sections.
The operation of the international passenger train of the China Laos Railway is of great significance for facilitating the travel of people along the line, promoting the development of tourism and other industries between the two countries, promoting economic and trade exchanges between the two countries and jointly building high-quality development of the "the Belt and Road".
