Train brake shoes are made of cast iron or other materials made of tile-like brake blocks, during braking to hold the wheel tread, through friction to stop the wheel. Since 2003, the new high-friction synthetic brake tiles have been installed and used in new railway wagons, and at present, all the brake tiles installed on railway wagons in China are high-friction synthetic brake tiles.

Locomotive brake shoe features:

1, good thermal stability. Resin decomposition temperature is high, the actual measured temperature is 377 degrees Celsius.

2, low compression elasticity, low noise, uniform temperature distribution.

3, strong viscosity, both the aging resistance of resin, and the toughness of rubber, low thermal decay rate, good recovery.

Because of the friction coefficient of high friction synthetic gate tile, it can not be used interchangeably with the universal gate tile, in order to prevent confusion, high friction synthetic gate tile steel back of the two ends of the middle made of low flat, raised on both sides, just the opposite of the low friction synthetic gate tile, the back of the steel on the inner side of the welded reinforcement, in order to increase the rigidity of the steel back.

In order to increase the heat dissipation area and to avoid cracking and falling off of the gate tile, the middle of the friction body of the synthetic gate tile is pressed into one or two heat dissipation slots. Synthetic gate tiles are made by mixing synthetic materials according to the specified proportion, and then placed in the steel mould and the steel backing are hot pressed to become a whole.
